Gabe's Writing Page

Here's a poem I wrote that's kind of depressing because I was in a bad mood when I wrote it. The thing is, it's not really finished, when I got to where it ends I realized I didn't need to write any more because I felt better. Anyway, here it is.

I don this mask that's wrought of steel,
And suddenly, nothing is real,
Locked with my pain, locked with my grief,
My suffering, my disbelief
My anger, my regrets, my guilt,
Locked in this mask that's agony-built
Alone I suffer, stew, and mope
I wonder when I'll find my hope,
I need friendship's eternal key
To break my chains, to set me free
A beam of light straight to my heart
Could cause my soul again to start.

Here's another poem I wrote just for fun...it's called 'Headache'

A hammer that clangs and booms and bangs
And pounds its deadly sound,
It clanks and it clatters, it beats and it batters,
It shatters my head on the ground.

Mkay, got lots more now. Next is a poem called "I hurt for you" which I dedicated to my bestest buds.

Your tears sting my eyes
Your scowls freeze my heart
Your fears realized
Pierce me like a dart
As sobs wrack your frame
I'm crying along
You try to place blame
I try to keep calm
Each bruise you sustain
Is twice upon me
Each second of pain
Forever, it seems
I lock eyes with you
I smile and I wink
I try to break through
To see what you think
The ends of your lips
Turn up in a smirk
Your misery dips
Your face starts to perk
Your smile lights my eyes
Your hug frees my heart
Your hopes realized
Your healing can start.

Now, I'd like to dedicate some space to one of the most divine forms of poetry...

The Haiku!!

And of course, to do so, I've written several (what I think are) funny Haiku. (And I know what you're thinking -- isn't the plural of Haiku "Haikus"? And the answer is, no it isn't.) But enough babbling, on to the Haiku!!
